For organizers

Pool and snooker tournament software. Free, at any size.

Run the whole night from one web console: registration, the draw, match calls and results. Players enter on their own phones and follow the bracket live. When players score a match in the app, the result goes into the bracket. It costs nothing to run, whether you have eight players or a hundred and twenty-eight, and it is the same for venues and for individual organizers.

Formats.

  • Single elimination. One loss and you are out. You can add a match for third place when there are four or more players.
  • Double elimination. A player is out after two losses. Losers drop into a second bracket, and the draw keeps them away from the player who has just beaten them. Choose a true grand final, where the player from the losers’ side must win twice, or a single deciding match.
  • Round robin. Everyone plays everyone. The standings update after each result, and head-to-head breaks ties.
  • Any field size. From 2 to 128 players, with no need for a round number. Byes go to the top seeds automatically, so a field of 6, 11 or 13 draws as cleanly as 16.
  • Your races. Set the race for each match, from 1 to 25. In double elimination you can set separate races for the winners’ side, the losers’ side and the finals.
  • Seeding. Draw at random, seed by players’ ratings, or set every seed yourself.

Built for cue sports.

  • Pool (8-ball, 9-ball and 10-ball), Heyball and snooker. The console uses each game’s terms: a race in pool, frames in snooker.
  • Each bracket takes on the look of its sport, with light and dark versions.

Before the night.

  • Registration. Open entry, or closed entry with an invite code or your approval. You can set a time when registration closes. When the event is full, extra players go on a waiting list in order.
  • Players without the app. Turn on guests and you can enter a player by name, with no account needed. Guests can also sign up by name on the event’s page, and you can approve each one first. A guest’s results are kept on the bracket as history. You type in their scores, and their matches count toward no one’s BidaRate.
  • Paste your list. Paste the names from your group chat. The console suggests the matching player accounts, you confirm each one, and any name left over can go in as a guest.
  • Entry fees. Set an entry fee in the venue’s currency and tick each player as paid. The console totals what is paid and what is still due, and copies the names of those who have not paid. Players pay you directly. Bida Nào does not collect or check payments.
  • Share the event. Send a prepared announcement on WhatsApp from your own phone, with the date, the venue, the spots left and the entry link. You can also download a calendar file for the event and a printable QR code card that opens its page.

The night itself.

  • Check-in. An optional “Here” tick beside each player. If you start with someone missing, the console asks first. It never removes anyone on its own.
  • Call a match. Choose the table and press Call. Both players get an alert on their phones that names the opponent, the table and the race.
  • Scores from the table. Start live scoring on a match and the players score it in the app. The bracket updates by itself. You can also type a result in, and the result you type stands. If you prefer, each scored result can wait for your approval.
  • Corrections, safely. If you change a result that later matches depend on, the console tells you how many matches it affects before anything changes.
  • Help at the desk. Add co-organizers to run the event with you, and save your usual set-up as a template.
  • A full record. Every action at the desk is logged.

After the final.

  • The podium goes on a public page made for sharing, with its own link.
  • Share the bracket as an image sized for social posts, and post a results recap: the podium and the bracket link, ready to paste into the group chat or send on WhatsApp.
  • Download every result as a spreadsheet file.
  • When you mark the results official, the results you accepted count toward each player’s BidaRate, once. Nothing is rated before that.
  • If the finalists agree to share the title, record a split, and the podium shows a shared first place.

Coming in the next app update

A player you entered as a guest will be able to claim that entry from the app with “That’s me”. You approve or turn down each claim. A player can ask up to 7 days after you mark the results official, and you then have 7 more days to decide. The claimed results count toward the player’s BidaRate only if they had no rating in that game before the event.

Questions organizers ask.

Is it really free?

Yes. Running a tournament costs nothing at any size. If you charge an entry fee, players pay you directly, and Bida Nào takes no part of it.

Can players without the app enter?

Yes, if you turn on guests. You can enter them by name or paste a list, or they can sign up by name on the event’s page. A guest’s results stay on the bracket as history and count toward no one’s rating.

Is there a free pool tournament bracket generator?

Yes. The console seeds and draws single elimination, double elimination and round robin brackets for 2 to 128 players, with byes placed for you. It is part of the organizer console, so you need organizer access first.

How does a double elimination bracket work?

Every player starts in the winners’ bracket. A first loss sends them to the losers’ bracket, and a second loss ends their event. The winner of each side meets in the grand final.

What is a bracket reset in double elimination?

In a true grand final, the player from the winners’ side has not lost yet. If the player from the losers’ side wins the first final, each now has one loss, so a second final decides the title. You can choose this, or a single deciding final.

How many matches are in a double elimination tournament?

With a field of n players, there are 2 × (n − 1) matches, plus one more if the grand final is reset. Eight players means 14 or 15 matches. Sixteen players means 30 or 31.

Can players follow the bracket on their phones?

Yes. Entrants see the bracket in the app as it updates, and anyone can open the finished event’s public page.

Does it work for snooker?

Yes. Snooker events count frames, and the bracket takes on snooker’s look.

Is it pool league software?

No. It runs one event at a time, for players entering as individuals. It does not have season tables or team fixtures.

Do I need to download anything?

Organizers use the console in a web browser. Players use the Bida Nào app.
