Snooker scoring

A snooker scoreboard that thinks in breaks.

In snooker, each visit to the table scores one break, so you enter one number per visit. The app keeps both scores and the difference between them, and your highest break is always kept. Free on Android and iPhone.

The end of a snooker frame in the app: won 147–0, with a high break of 147.

One number per visit

  • Enter the break, then the reds in it. Reds never change the score; they keep count of what is left on the table. Not sure how many? Add the break anyway.
  • Impossible breaks are caught. A break must fit the reds you entered and the reds still on the table. For example, a break of 35 is possible from the last red and the colours, but not from one red while five reds are still on the table. The app refuses it and says what to fix.
  • Fouls are separate. The foul button gives the penalty to the other player: 4, or 5, 6 or 7 when the blue, pink or black is involved. Points scored before the foul stand.
  • Nothing to tap mid-play. Play as normal and enter the visit when it ends. Every entry can be undone.

Frames end when you say so

Tap “Frame over…” when the frame is done. Once the reds are gone, it ends at once as a clearance, with the higher score winning. Otherwise it asks whether someone conceded. Level scores are never final: the app reminds you to respot the black.

Any match, any format

  • A single frame, or best of any odd number.
  • Singles, doubles, or three players in one frame. With three, you choose who receives each foul, because local rules differ.
  • Turn the phone sideways for a full scoreboard you can prop up beside the table.
  • Hand the scoring to another phone mid-match. Nothing scored is lost.
  • If the signal drops during a match, no frame is lost: it is kept on the phone and sent when the connection returns.

Snooker stats you keep

Frames, wins, your highest break and every break of 50 or more, kept from the first frame you score. Counts and records are free and never lock.

Analytics Pro adds the rates: points per scoring visit, how often 30s and 50s arrive, and your share of the points in each frame, with trends, head-to-head and the monthly report. It is free for your first 30 days.

Invite your opponent, or confirm without the app

Start the frame and leave your opponent’s seat open. They join with a QR code, a link or a six-character code, during the match or within 24 hours of its start.

A result counts only when your opponent agrees to it. Without the app, they can open the link in any browser, read the result, and confirm it there. It counts for both of you once they make a Bida Nào account.

A rating you earn

Snooker has its own BidaRate, built only from confirmed snooker frames, on a scale from 2.0 to 10.0. It weighs who you beat and how you win. It appears after a few rated frames and settles as you play more.

More than a scoreboard

  • Player cards. A snooker card with your number on it, to keep and to share.
  • Venue leaderboards. Rated snooker frames you score at a venue put you on that venue’s own snooker board.
  • Watch live. Make a casual match public and others can follow its frame score as it is played.

Questions

Is there a free snooker scoring app for Android?

Yes. Bida Nào is free on Android and iPhone, and scoring is free with no limit on frames. An optional paid plan, Analytics Pro, adds rates, trends and head-to-head; counts and records stay free.

How do you keep score in snooker with the app?

Enter each visit’s break, and the reds in it if you know them. Use the foul button for fouls. The app keeps both totals and the difference.

Does it record my highest break?

Yes. Your highest break is kept for every snooker frame you score, along with every break of 50 or more.

Can three people play?

Yes. Three players can share one frame, and you choose who receives each foul.

What happens if the scores are level at the end?

A tie is never final. The app asks you to respot the black and play on.

Does it show professional snooker results?

No. It scores your own matches. “Watch live” shows casual matches that players choose to make public.

Does my opponent need the app?

No. They can confirm the result in a browser. A result counts only once they agree to it.
